Knowledge, Skills, Responsibilities and Autonomy
- Providing a supportive and encouraging environment that allows students to learn, develop and grow
- Providing a safe and positive learning atmosphere for all students
- A lot of things, many of which I try not to put on a resume. I teach kids math, writing, and reading, and I try to teach them as accurately as possible.
- Two things: to find the truth in what I am given and to make my students understand it. I have to find the truth in the facts I am given, and I have to make them understand it.
- Being a facilitator of learning. I have a passion for teaching and the desire to help students to achieve their full potential.
- Three things: 1) I have to teach my students. 2) I have to teach my students as best I can. 3) I have to teach my students how to learn
- Prepare our students for tomorrow, for their entire lives
- Help students become their best selves. I am a parent first and a teacher second. The best way to do that is by helping students who are struggling, and by developing students who are succeeding
- Introduce kids to real life, which means that what comes up in class is a big part of their lives and that they have much greater awareness of the world around them and their place in it
- Bring the best out of me and the best out of everyone else
- Prepare my students for the future
- Help students learn and grow. At the same time, I am also a student, and I am always looking for new ways to learn and grow
- Kind of "gift-giver." I love to give people the gift of learning. And I love to give them the gift of learning with a smile on their face
- One that’s full of a lot of pressure. I have to be on top of my game. I have to have everything I need to be successful. I have to be on top of everything
- Being with children. I see them as my most important audience and I will not let any of them down
- Combining my love of teaching, research and community engagement
- "In the trenches of education." I see it every day in my classroom, in my classroom community, and in my school, but I also see it in my students' lives
- Being part of a team. I am a team member, but I am also an individual. I am a teacher, but I am also a student
